Your Guide To Laidback Luxury In Taghazout

Where to stay

As the Taghazout, Morocco has become more popular with travellers in recent years, there’s a decent selection of hotels to choose from, depending on your preference and style. If you’re seeking a luxury resort that does-it-all, one hotel that continuously comes up top is the Fairmont Taghazout Bay, a five-star hotel complete with its very own spa. It’s set across 18 hectares of argan gardens and olive groves, and mere moments away from a private, sandy beach (we’re talking steps).

The hotel boasts 153 spacious rooms, suites and villas designed each with a neutral-coloured palette reminiscent of the sand and sea. Filled with complimentary amenities, the rooms also boast impressive marble bathrooms and arguably some of the comfiest beds you’ll ever sleep in.

The spa is a real sanctuary, encompassing nine treatment rooms, two solariums, an outdoor garden and a traditional Berber Hammam. Opt for an authentic bathing ceremony in the Hammam, or choose a more contemporary treatment, such as the 3D collagen facial. With four pools at the hotel, including a magnesium pool infused with salts to help promote relaxation and improve muscle fatigue, there’s plenty of facilities to use.

Why it’s Editour rated: It’s an incredibly elegant hotel and feels spacious with high ceilings and a sprawling outdoor area, so if you’re looking for privacy this ticks the box. Plus, the service provided is second-to-none, with friendly staff who make you feel at home.
